Brian Dykhuizen graduated with a degree in Art and Elementary Education in 1986.
Having always been interested in surface design, he took a fabric-dyeing workshop 1997. Having numerous yards of hand-dyed fabric, quilting was the next logical step.
Learning the craft of quilting by making numerous bed quilts, Brian turned his attention to making art quilts in 2003 and works out of his home studio.
His work has been exhibited in galleries and restaurants in Montana and can also be found in private collections. Most recently Brian's work has been in shows in New York, Minneapolis and England.
Brian is married and is the stay-at-home parent to three children. After having lived in the Midwest for 15 years, he and his family now reside in Kalispell, Montana.
